Who we are

HR@Work founder Karin Berney, trilingual (F,D,E), was raised in Zurich, moved to Geneva and began her career in Human Resources in 1994 at the European headquarters of Haemonetics SA. In 2002, Karin became responsible for the position of HR Manager Europe and was leading a professional HR team across Europe and ensuring the interface role between HR corporate and the European affiliates. At the same time, she earned her diploma “Gestion des Resources Humaines” at the University of Geneva.

From 2006 until 2011, Karin Berney served as HR Manager for Eli Lilly (Suisse) SA and was member of the local management team. During that time in her role as HR business partner and working closely with the Managing Director, the company was recognized on a number of occasions as “best employer to work for.” Several well-known business journals featured the following articles about Lilly:
